Chris Ryman ~ Coach & Mentor Dedicated to the groth of the paddling community, Chris donates his time and skills to mentoring the team. Ryman is also known to throwdown with the big guns in competitions.
Nikita Chernoff Nikita is one seriously stoked individual, unofficial motivator and inventive kayaker, Nikita is an asset to the team both on and off river. Nikita also works with EA as a kayak guide and repair and maintenance dude.
Sydney Gillman Gillman comes from a family of whitewater enthusiasts. She rips with the big boys displaying unmatched skill and style. Sydney is also one of our female kayak guides and instructors.
Nicholas Barisoff Nick placed 6th junior in Canada at the 2010 team trials and won't stop there. Nick LOVES to freestyle kayak and improving his skills especially when there is a camera on him!
Sam Butler “Hammer”, as called by team mates, is a force to be reckoned with. Currently the youngest on the team Sam styles it out on the water and recalls throwing a loop his first attempt in competition as a highlight. Sam also works at EA as official landscaper.
Laurence Bachand “LO” is not only a ripper chick on the water she is a sponsored skier and store manager at EA . Lo specializes in raft guiding, repairing gear, and keeping the boyz in line.
JD ~ Guru John Duncan is the local paddling guru with over 30 years of paddling experience he is a great guy to have around and a wealth of knowledge. Every paddling community needs a river cop.
Abby Dent AKA Jungle Jane brings a warm South American flavour to the team. She is an experienced river SUP (stand up paddle) border and a favourite female whitewater kayak instructor. When not on the water she is running after our Eco Campers.
Carl Jacks Jacks is a born and bred Kootenay kayaker and the guy to have with you on a road trip. Always keeping us in stitches with his funny stories and praying mantis style of kayaking.
Bob Dodge Raft guide from Dodgey Adventures, Bob is on the water almost every day when he finally retires his skies for the year. Also VP of our local club, Bob keeps busy all summer long making the most of the Slocan.
